2004-02-05 - 7:16 a.m. I spent the last few hours remembering Toronto... she took me there with stuff like this... there's brilliance... there's ups... there's downs... love... hate... angst... there's passion... just listen... she reminds me how to feel the color red... but most of all I was sitting there reading and imagining my little girl, who lives in the same place and may even go to the same schools, writing this (or was that my child inside) and words so similar that I might have written them myself once upon a time in Toronto... in January of 2004, the meaning of life was for sale on eBay... somebody bought it for $22.50 in US dollars... what puzzled me most was that there's only one available... seems to me that the meaning of life isn't something that can have sole ownership by one individual, but then (said with a smile), maybe I don't get it, huh?... well, maybe there's some meaning to be found here (which was just one of the interesting things I found at Dong Resin's Joint... it's reading for when I want to know what is going on in the world... I especially enjoyed the dangly bits on the right... maybe this holds the key for it says "Depending upon no-thing, you must find your own mind." which makes sense to me... even in it's longer version "All Bodhisattvas (Compassionate Ones) should develop a pure mind which clings to no-thing whatsoever; and so he should establish it." there's all sorts of ways of presenting philosophy and I've got to hand it to Sam... creativity and simplicity and human behavior and emotion merge in his art... and now it's big business... but sometimes I think that maybe we just need to go back to the start and re-evaluate everything... then there is rantz, who was aptly named... why I love erato in her own words... did I say this already?... well, I will probably say it again eventually... and a few more writers that can leave me breathless are egress and hauntedmind and recently I found a fascinating webworld that may be a bit long in the scrolling and random to navigate, but seems worth the exploration (and probably has more that I have yet to find)... the thing that grabbed me was the music, yes music... music playing, that is... unfortunately the right click feature seems to be turned off so I could not figure out the code for putting music on a site or find out where the music came from (or save any of the music to my computer), but it was cool just to find some music and it lead me to trixies where I learned a thing or few... and then there was brevity who does amazing things with few words and became a favorite when I found these words and realized I think they are the same person... definitely worth reading more... in my recent wanderings I came across many places just for fun, I offer you this incite into slobber (the proper noun)... and sometimes I have little or no idea of just why I might link a site, but I do anyway... it's usually some intantible instant visual decision, cuz if I look around for a few minutes and don't find a concrete reason, it must be that initial intangible... maybe you can figure it out... anyone who suggests I write a lot ought to look at this blog... and I am pretty sure George Carlin did this better, and maybe Lenny Bruce did it originally, but fuck if it isn't immortalized on the web now... and suddenly as I flipped past SNL to find some background stimulation after the concert, I remember Gilda (I have that on vinyl in storage) and Gimme Mick (and she says she knows the missing lyrics, do you?) and oh, how miss her genius... she may be my second favorite commedianne ever, (Robin (not her) Williams remains first and he's got a show on tonight)...
